Where we work

Where we work

At Making Self Sense, we don't limit our coaching activities by business sector or field. As coaches, we're comfortable working cross-sector, function and with different levels of experience. Indeed, we're happy coaching board-level leaders to graduate recruits beginning their career journeys.

That said, Bhavin Visavadia our lead Coach and Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon for London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust has deep experience of the NHS and coaching and mentoring.

"

With most companies' primary goal being of increasing turnover and making profits, many businesses lose sight of the fact that these objectives are achieved by teams
made up of humans. By recognising this and applying coaching and mentoring methods to management styles, companies can optimise their workforce's natural skills and
well-being and, as a result, increase overall productivity"

A pillar for people development in healthcare

As well as treating patients, Bhavin is dedicated to coaching and training healthcare professionals, and specialist education and research. It's not every day that you come across individuals with such a deep understanding of healthcare and the  NHS, with coaching and mentoring qualifications.

He believes that the role of coaching and mentoring across healthcare has never been more relevant and that Clinical Leaders and Executives will benefit from structured training and resources provided through a formal, recognised programme to create a coaching culture.

"

The knowledge base required for coaching and mentoring in the NHS will require a modern understanding of the healthcare structure and organisational hierarchy developed with patient care at its centre. I understand the NHS organisation, the team and the coachees"
